TSB (United Kingdom)
Role
UX design, UI design, front-end development
Overview
TSB (Trustee Savings Bank) located in the United Kingdom wanted to move to a complete mobile solution for onboarding and servicing clients in a seamless and effortless way. A solution to this was through implementing "liveliness Detection" technology. Using the camera on any mobile device or laptop to detect, confirm and approve the true identity of a client, the client could then be onboarded and apply for banking products and services.
Scope
Design, test and implement a liveliness detection and identity verification service scalable to any mobile or desktop platform or device.

UX Process
The biggest challenge on this project was the fact that the client and their target market is located overseas which made user research, ideation session facilitation, and user testing more difficult.

Having had very tight deadlines we opted for a lean UX design process which involved rapid prototyping and testing. In conclusion we ended up with a very user friendly, effective platform and a very happy client which is exactly what the UX design metdodology is about;

The perfect balance between what the client needs and what the business wants.

UI Design
Focussing on the ease and speed of use, we went with a minimalistic UI highlighting purpose and guiding the user, putting the user in control. TSB has a very limited CI with very strict rules and guidelines to adhere to but never the less, the UI design turned out great, complementing the brand in every way.

Project outcome
The launch of the platform went off without a hitch.

With a very happy client now being at the forefront of digital banking, we could pat ourselves on the back having sucessfully completed a very complex project.

Having learned so much, this was one of those projects you're glad is over but also very greatfull for having had the opportuity to be a part off.
